Superficial BET Analysis

The surface area analyzer is an essential tool for providing surface area as well as isotherms on various materials.

Solid samples are pretreated by applying a combination of heat, vacuum, and a gas flow to remove any adsorbed contaminants.

The surface area or specific surface area is calculated from the amount of gas required to form a monolayer of molecules adsorbed on the surface of the solid using the Brunauer, Emmett, and Teller (BET) model.
