Kiel IV Carbonate Device
This instrument enables highly sensitive and ultra-precise isotopic measurements in an automated, high-throughput workflow, thanks to its high-throughput, dual-inlet automated carbonate preparation system.
When combined with a 10 kV Thermo Scientific™ 253 Plus™ isotope ratio mass spectrometer (IRMS), it enables the analysis of carbonate samples for paleoclimate reconstructions involving biogenic carbonates such as foraminifera, bivalves, brachiopods, otoliths, and corals.
Other applicable fields of study include the analysis of growth zones of individual organisms or microfossils from drill cores.
